2025 F1 Belgian Grand Prix: Lando Norris on Pole After Lewis Hamilton Penalty

Lando Norris secured pole position for the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix, with the race expected to be wet. Norris narrowly beat his teammate Oscar Piastri to claim McLaren's first Spa pole since Jenson Button in 2012. Charles Leclerc qualified third, just ahead of Max Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton had a challenging qualifying session, finishing 16th after a time deletion for track limits in Q1.

The race at Spa is anticipated to be wet, with a weather forecast available after a delay due to an FIA F3 event. Kimi Antonelli, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso are set to start from the pit-lane due to power unit changes. Hamilton, Alonso, and Antonelli have exceeded their component allocations, necessitating new power unit elements. Ferrari has also made suspension adjustments, leading to parc ferme violations and pit-lane starts for Hamilton and Carlos Sainz.

Carlos Sainz has also been demoted to a pit-lane start due to parc ferme adjustments, reducing the grid to 16 cars. The full starting grid for the 2025 F1 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa can be found below.

NOTE: Grid status is provisional until officially confirmed by the FIA.
