OpenAI’s ChatGPT is experiencing rapid global adoption. The startup reports receiving 2.5 billion prompts daily from users worldwide, with over 300 million of those prompts originating from the US, as per Axios.
This translates to more than 912 billion requests annually, showcasing the AI chatbot's increasing integration into daily online activities for billions of users.
While ChatGPT lags behind Google in engagement metrics, Alphabet disclosed that Google handles five trillion search queries annually, averaging 14 billion searches per day.
Despite Google's dominance, ChatGPT has seen significant growth, with over 300 million active monthly users sending one billion prompts daily as of December 2024.
The US and India are the largest markets for ChatGPT, with the app previously leading the Apple App Store charts in India.
