Southport Victims Remembered with Three-Minute Silence

Ahead of the three-minute silence, Sefton Council leader Marion Atkinson expressed sympathy for the families affected by the tragedy. She mentioned the families of Alice, Bebe, and Elsie, as well as those who were injured. Atkinson highlighted the families' resilience and their efforts to give back to the community, such as revamping Southport Town Hall's gardens. She praised the community for rallying around the families and the families for creating something positive out of the situation.

Andrew Brown, founder of Stand Up for Southport, also acknowledged the support received from the Liverpool City Region. He emphasized the need for unity and positivity in the aftermath of the tragedy.
