Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty announce separation after 12 years of marriage
Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have decided to end their 12-year marriage. The couple, aged 48 and 54, confirmed the split in a joint statement, emphasizing their commitment to co-parenting their two children. Cat notably missed attending Patrick's mother's funeral earlier this year to support their kids during the difficult time.

Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty have announced they have split after 12 years of marriage. In a joint statement, the pair, aged 48 and 54 respectively, confirmed: 'We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved. We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment.'
Cat notably did not attend Patrick's mother Mary's funeral back in March. It was reported that she stayed home in order to support their two young children, Milo, nine, and James, seven, who were suffering the loss of their grandmother.
Patrick, 54, looked bereft as he carried Mary's coffin through his home village, where he was joined by close family and friends at the Church of the Sacred Heart.
They first met in 2002 while hosting BBC talent show Fame Academy, but their romantic relationship started 10 years later. They got married in a secret ceremony in Rome in 2012 and lived in California for over 14 years before moving back to North London in 2020.
Discussing the challenges of balancing their careers, Patrick mentioned a difficult period during Christmas 2023 when Cat had to travel for work. Cat also shared a bedroom arrangement where she sleeps in the guest room during weekdays due to her early morning schedule.
Before Cat married Patrick, she was previously married to businessman Mark Whelan, while Patrick was in a relationship with Amanda Bryam. The couple have two sons together.
