Brother of Oasis members faces rape charges

The older brother of Liam and Noel Gallagher, Paul Gallagher, aged 59, who lives in East Finchley in north London, has been charged with rape. He is also accused of coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The alleged offences are claimed to have taken place between 2022 and 2024, as reported by the Metropolitan Police. Paul Gallagher is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 27 August.

The charges against Paul Gallagher were first reported by the Daily Telegraph. Unlike his famous brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, who have been performing as part of their Oasis Live '25 Tour, Paul Gallagher has never been part of Oasis.

Cate Baccas from the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed the charges, stating that criminal proceedings are now active, and the defendant has the right to a fair trial. She emphasized the importance of avoiding any reporting or sharing of information online that could prejudice the proceedings.
