Heather Flick Melanson, Kennedy's chief of staff, and Hannah Anderson, deputy chief of staff of policy, are departing. No reason was given for the dismissals. Kennedy has appointed Matt Buckham as Acting Chief of Staff.
According to a statement from an HHS spokesperson, Buckham brings valuable experience in personnel strategy and organizational management to the role. Kennedy thanked the outgoing leadership for their service and expressed readiness to work with Buckham to advance the Department's mission.
