Vikrant Massey Quits 'Don 3', Search for New Villain Begins

Actor Vikrant Massey has reportedly walked out of the much-anticipated film 'Don 3'. Massey was set to play the main antagonist opposite Ranveer Singh in the film. After his exit, actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Vijay Deverakonda are allegedly in the running for the role.

A report by Bollywood Hungama said Massey was expected to add a new dimension of intensity to the film by playing a negative role. His character was described as a smooth-talking scamster. The film required a significant makeover of the actor, along with numerous action sequences against Singh. His decision has now left the production team in a challenging position.

The film's production team is now reportedly seeking a replacement who can embody the complex character. The report suggests that actors like Vijay Devarakonda and Aditya Roy Kapur have been approached to fill the role. However, neither has confirmed their involvement yet.

\"There is no doubt that Massey would have been phenomenal. We are certain that another actor of his calibre will step up and take this challenge head-on,\" a source told the entertainment portal.

With filming scheduled to begin in January 2026, the pressure is on 'Don 3' director Farhan Akhtar and his team to finalise the casting soon. The delay in casting could impact the film's production schedule.

Don 3, featuring Ranveer Singh in the titular role, has already been generating significant buzz. The uncertainty surrounding the antagonist's role adds to the film's intrigue for fans and industry watchers alike.

Additionally, the casting for the character Roma remains unconfirmed. Reports hint at actor Kriti Sanon potentially stepping in after Kiara Advani's exit due to pregnancy, adding another layer of anticipation to the project.

Vikrant Massey was recently seen in the film 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' alongside debutant Shanaya Kapoor. The film was released in theatres on July 11.
