Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3 Introduces AutoDrive and VRR for Consoles
The upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3, releasing on Thursday, will bring new features like AutoDrive for vehicles and VRR support for consoles. AutoDrive allows automatic driving to destinations and cinematic camera mode, while VRR support aims to enhance the gaming experience by reducing screen tearing on PS5 and Xbox consoles.
Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.3 is set to launch on Thursday for Mac, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X / S. The update will introduce new features focused on vehicles and VRR support on consoles.
The new AutoDrive feature allows players to drive automatically from one location to another in cars and motorcycles. Players can set their destination on the game’s map, including quest locations. AutoDrive can also be used in a wandering mode where the vehicle drives on its own. A cinematic camera mode is available while using AutoDrive.
Players can now opt for a taxi ride from the Delamain AI after completing a specific quest. The update also includes official in-game support for VRR on PS5 and Xbox to address screen tearing when frame rates drop.
On PC, the update adds support for AMD FSR 3.1, Intel XeSS 2.0, and HDR 10 Plus. Support for AMD’s FSR 4 will be added later. The game will be available on Mac for Apple Silicon Macs with at least 16GB of memory. Update 2.3 will also be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date.
