Israel Agrees to Trump's Ceasefire Proposal with Iran

Israel has agreed to US President Donald Trump's proposal for a ceasefire with Iran after achieving its goal of removing Tehran's nuclear and ballistic missile threat, as announced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office on Tuesday.

Israel expressed gratitude to President Trump and the United States for their support in defense and participation in eliminating the Iranian nuclear threat.

Following the successful accomplishment of the operation's objectives and in coordination with President Trump, Israel accepted the President's proposal for a mutual ceasefire.

President Trump confirmed on Tuesday that a ceasefire between Israel and Iran is now in effect and urged both countries to adhere to it, following Iran's missile attacks that reportedly resulted in casualties.

Netanyahu, set to make a statement later on Tuesday, emphasized that Israel would respond firmly to any breach of the ceasefire.

Israel, supported by the United States, conducted strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities over the weekend, citing concerns about Tehran's nuclear ambitions.

Iran has consistently denied having a nuclear weapons program, although Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has asserted that if desired, world leaders would be unable to prevent Iran from acquiring such weapons.
