PTI Workers Upset Over Senate Ticket Distribution

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa have accused the party leadership of nepotism and sidelining loyal members during the distribution of Senate tickets. Express News reported that PTI Peshawar activists protested against the leadership for not selecting local leader Irfan Saleem. They insisted that PTI founder Imran Khan had recommended Saleem for the Senate polls and they would only accept him as a candidate.

The workers mentioned that Imran's sister, Aleema Khan, conveyed Khan's message after meeting with him, emphasizing that the leadership should finalize the list through consultation. Aleema Khan's statement was later confirmed by Imran Khan's official account. The protesting workers also pointed out contradictions between the statements of Aleema Khan and K-P CM's aide Barrister Saif.

The PTI workers alleged that Saleem was deliberately excluded from the Senate race due to a conspiracy. They questioned the decision to neglect dedicated workers and give tickets to investors, expressing their refusal to accept decisions made behind closed doors. They demanded that the leadership involve them in the decision-making process.

Barrister Saif released the list of PTI's Senate candidates from K-P after meeting with Imran Khan. The list included Murad Saeed, Pir Noorul Haq Qadri, Faisal Javed, Mirza Afridi for general seats, Azam Swati for the technocrat seat, and Robina Naz for the Women's seat.
