Migrant workers honored for rescuing driver from Tanjong Katong sinkhole
Seven migrant workers in Singapore received an appreciation coin from the Ministry of Manpower for their heroic efforts in rescuing a driver whose car fell into a sinkhole. Minister of State for Manpower praised the workers for their selfless act and contribution to society.

Seven migrant workers who helped rescue the driver of the car that fell into the Tanjong Katong sinkhole were presented with an 'MOM Ace coin' as a token of appreciation for their efforts. The workers received the coins from Minister of State for Manpower Dinesh Vasu Dash. The workers were Mr Pitchai Udaiyappan Subbiah, Mr Velmurugan, Mr Saravanan, Mr Veerasekar, Mr Ajithkumar, Mr Chandrisekaran, and Mr Rajendran. Mr Dinesh met the workers at their dormitory and commended their efforts, stating that their actions exemplified how migrant workers contribute to society. He expressed gratitude for their selfless acts and willingness to help when needed.
