Police have dismantled a significant suspected cannabis operation linked to the INLA in the Strabane area. Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £1.4 million were seized following a planned search. Paraphernalia connected to drug cultivation and supply were also seized. The operation was led by detectives from the Organised Crime Branch investigating suspected drugs criminality linked to the INLA.

Officers from Derry City and Strabane, along with tactical support group officers, police dog handlers, and police dogs were involved in the operation. Two arrests have been made. A spokesperson for the Organised Crime Branch stated that a large, sophisticated suspected cannabis operation was dismantled, with rows of suspected cannabis plants filling two floors of the building.
