She was left brain-dead and taken off life support by her family eight days after the attack. The incident occurred on June 24 at a 7-Eleven store in Los Angeles. On the day of the attack, Jessica got into an argument with her manager at work. The manager allegedly held her down, sat on top of her, and prevented her from breathing by putting her full weight on Jessica's upper body. Colleagues who tried to intervene also got hurt during the attack.
