Kanye West Barred from Entering Australia Due to Controversial Hitler Song

American rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, has been blocked from entering Australia due to a song that glorifies Nazi leader Adolf Hitler. West, who identifies as a Nazi and has made anti-Semitic comments, had his valid visa cancelled by Australia's home affairs minister Tony Burke after releasing the song Heil Hitler in early May.

In an interview, Mr. Burke stated that West had been coming to Australia for a long time but his visa was revoked following the offensive song release. It is uncertain if West has been permanently banned, as visa applications will be reviewed according to Australian law.

This is not the first time Australia has considered blocking West. In 2023, Australia's education minister had criticized West's comments on Hitler and the Holocaust. The controversial song Heil Hitler, part of West's album WW3, garnered millions of views within a day of its release in May.

The music video for the song, featuring men in animal skins chanting the title, has been banned on various streaming platforms. West later released a modified version titled Hallelujah, replacing Nazi references with Christian themes.

West has faced backlash for his anti-Semitic remarks, leading to Adidas ending its partnership with him in 2022. Despite controversies, West continues to make headlines for his controversial statements and actions.
