Pakistani Actors' Social Media Accounts Banned Again in India After Brief Visibility
The social media accounts of Pakistani actors like Mawra Hocane, Saba Qamar, and others were briefly visible in India before being banned again. This happened just a day after they appeared on Indian feeds. The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has raised objections to their sudden reappearance.

Accounts of Pakistani actors like Mawra Hocane, Saba Qamar, and others were briefly visible in India before being banned again. This sudden change surprised Indian netizens who saw their Instagram accounts pop up on their feeds. Now, these accounts show a message stating they are not available in India due to a legal request.
Not all Pakistani actors' accounts became visible; names like Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan remained banned. The reappearance of these accounts led to the All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) writing a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing strong objections to the situation.
On 8 May, the Indian government had instructed OTT platforms to remove Pakistani content to maintain India's stance on cross-border issues. AICWA's letter highlighted the concern over the visibility of Pakistani artists' accounts in India, calling it an insult to Indian soldiers and victims of terror attacks.
