I hate cancelling shows - over the past 21 years, I've played 1,534 gigs and only ever cancelled 11. Scotland has always been my favourite place to perform and this was an incredibly hard decision to make. After pointing out the sound issues during the Glastonbury set, Example added: 'This isn’t a dig at the production crew. These things just happen sometimes.' Focusing on the positives, he told fans: 'One of the smaller stages at Glastonbury. Except when we turn up. Honestly thank you so much for having me last night. No artists make any money at Glastonbury. And that’s fine. It’s one of the most magical places on earth. I still want Pyramid stage. But I’m not going away just yet. I have patience.'
