Iran Warns Israel of Possible Violation of Ceasefire Agreement

Iran's top military commander, Gen Abdolrahim Mousavi, expressed doubts about Israel's commitment to the ceasefire that ended the recent exchange of fire between the two nations. He warned that Tehran is prepared to retaliate if hostilities resume. Mousavi stated that Iran responded to the aggression with full force and is ready to give a strong response if Israel violates the ceasefire.

The ceasefire was announced by US President Donald Trump after nearly two weeks of intense fighting that began with an Israeli airstrike targeting Iran's nuclear program. Israel claimed to have eliminated senior Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists, as well as targeted nuclear-related facilities and military infrastructure sites. The conflict resulted in over 1,000 deaths, including civilians.

Iran retaliated by launching ballistic missiles towards Israel, causing damage and casualties. State funerals were held in Iran for those killed in the conflict, including military officials and scientists.
