RJ Abarrientos shines as Ginebra secures Game 3 victory over San Miguel
RJ Abarrientos led Barangay Ginebra to a 100-90 win against San Miguel in Game 3 of the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup. The 25-year-old guard scored 24 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and dished out eight assists, almost achieving a triple-double. Ginebra now leads the series 2-1.

Barangay Ginebra relied on RJ Abarrientos' strong performance in the fourth quarter to secure a 100-90 victory over San Miguel in Game 3 of the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup. The game took place at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.
The 25-year-old guard scored 18 crucial points in the final quarter, propelling the Gin Kings to a 2-1 series lead. Abarrientos finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists, nearly achieving a triple-double. This marked a significant improvement from his previous two games where he struggled offensively.
In Game 1, he only scored two points, and in Game 2, he managed seven points as Ginebra suffered a loss to San Miguel. However, Abarrientos stepped up in Game 3, especially in the fourth quarter, where he made key plays to secure the victory.
Aside from Abarrientos, Jamie Malonzo contributed 20 points, Japeth Aguilar added 18 points, and Scottie Thompson scored 16 points off the bench. The team's collective effort led to a strong performance and ultimately the win.
