Vishnu Manchu's dream project 'Kannappa' hit the big screens on Friday and received a good response at the box office on its second day. According to trade analyst Sacnilk, the film collected an estimated Rs 9.35 crore on Friday, which dropped to Rs 7 crore on Day 2, Saturday, bringing the total domestic earnings to around Rs 16.35 crore.

'Kannappa' maintained a steady audience across regions and features brief appearances by Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Mohanlal. The film is performing well in Telugu-speaking areas, with a reported 44.42% occupancy on Saturday. In Tamil Nadu, the overall occupancy was 19.84%, with spikes during the afternoon and night shows. The Hindi version had a 17.37% occupancy, showing potential for growth over the weekend. However, the film had a more modest response in Malayalam, with 5.81% occupancy.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, 'Kannappa' is a mythological tale about the devotion of a tribal hunter named Kannappa to Lord Shiva.
