Samsung QLED TVs Receive 'Real Quantum Dot Display' Certification

Samsung Electronics announced that its QLED TVs have received ‘Real Quantum Dot Display’ certification from TÜV Rheinland, confirming compliance with global quantum dot display standards. The certification highlights Samsung’s commitment to display innovation and quality.

The certification verifies that Samsung’s QLED TVs meet the IEC 62595-1-6 standard for quantum dot display structure, showcasing the company’s advancements in the premium TV market.

TÜV Rheinland confirmed clear separation between red, green, and blue light spectrums in Samsung QLED TVs, a key indicator of color accuracy enabled by quantum dots. This distinction sets Samsung’s displays apart from those using alternative materials that may cause color mixing or reduced clarity.

The certification solidifies Samsung’s QLED TVs as true quantum dot displays, distinguishing them in the market. The certified series include Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, and QLED 4K models.

Quantum dots, ultra-fine nanomaterials known for precise color reproduction, play a crucial role in Samsung’s display technology. Samsung’s quantum dot panels have also been recognized for their cadmium-free design by Société Générale de Surveillance.
