Two police officers killed in terrorist attack in Dera Ismail Khan
Two police officers were killed in a terrorist gun attack in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The officers were on their way to buy groceries when gunmen opened fire. One terrorist was killed and two others injured in the incident. A joint search operation is ongoing in the area.

Two police officers were killed in a gun attack by terrorists in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. One terrorist was killed and two others injured in retaliatory fire. A Kalashnikov rifle and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.
DSP Kulachi Inam Khan confirmed that the officers were attacked while on their way to buy groceries. Police quickly responded and cordoned off the area. A joint search operation by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and district police is ongoing.
Funeral prayers for the martyred officers were held at Line Police Headquarters, attended by senior police and CTD officers. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi strongly condemned the attack, paying tribute to the fallen officers and offering condolences to their families.
Recent months have seen increased violence in parts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Last month, a police operation in Lakki Marwat resulted in the deaths of three suspected militants and one police constable. In May, two police officers were killed and one injured in an attack on a check post in Bannu.
