Trump Meets Netanyahu Amid Gaza Ceasefire Talks

Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu recently met at the White House, praising each other's efforts in forging peace. Netanyahu even nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. However, no major breakthroughs were achieved on Middle East issues, including Gaza ceasefire and Iran negotiations.

Trump expressed urgency for a Gaza truce and highlighted Iran's limited retaliation against US strikes. Hamas responded positively to a ceasefire proposal, while negotiators were sent to finalise the deal. Both leaders mentioned progress in resettling displaced Palestinians.

Regarding a two-state solution, Trump deferred to Netanyahu, who emphasized the need for Palestinian powers without threatening Israel. Talks on Tehran's nuclear programme are scheduled, with Trump expressing willingness to provide Iran with sanctions relief for economic recovery.
