CIMB Bank Aims to Reach 10.5 Million Customers by 2025
CIMB Bank Philippines has achieved its target of 10 million customers by June 2025 and now plans to add 500,000 more by the end of the year. The bank is set to introduce new offerings, including a modernized mobile app, to attract more customers.
Digital-only commercial bank CIMB Bank Philippines aims to onboard 500,000 more customers in the second half of 2025 after reaching its full-year target of 10 million clients in June.
CIMB Philippines CEO Vijay Manoharan confirmed that they hit the 10-million customer mark by the end of June 2025, a goal set in February. He mentioned plans to add another 500,000 customers by the year-end, projecting to reach close to 10.5 million by December 2025.
Manoharan also revealed upcoming offerings to attract more customers, including a modernized mobile application scheduled for release in the next few months. Regarding loans, CIMB is on track to achieve its target of 4.6 to 4.7 million loan customers this year, up from 4 million in 2024, with the current count at 4.5 million.
He emphasized the importance of responsible growth in the loan portfolio, ensuring a measured approach to credit granting to avoid overextension.
