North-South Line MRT Services Back on Track After Delay

Train passengers on the North-South Line (NSL) experienced delays of about an hour during the morning peak hour on July 8 due to a track fault affecting a five-station stretch. The fault occurred near the NSL Orchard station towards the city around 8.45am.

Operator SMRT informed commuters to expect additional travel time between Toa Payoh and Somerset MRT stations. Train services in the affected stretch resumed at 9.57am after the fault was investigated on site.

Despite some complaints from passengers about the delayed announcement, SMRT apologized for the inconvenience and asked for commuters' understanding.
