Spanish police indicated that Jota was behind the wheel at the time, with reports suggesting the vehicle was exceeding the speed limit of 120kmph.

Investigations are ongoing, focusing on the tire marks and speed of the car. The final report will be submitted to the court in Puebla de Sanabria, Zamora. The fatal crash took place on the A-52 in Palacios de Sanabria, leading to the untimely deaths of the brothers.
