A school van plunged into a ravine near Chakhar in the Jhelum Valley, leaving 30 people injured, including schoolchildren, as reported by ARY News citing police sources. The injured were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Hattian Bala for treatment. The van driver and two children are in critical condition, raising concerns about their recovery.

Earlier, a tourist vehicle fell into the Neelum River, resulting in the death of six people, including five women. The incident took place in Neelum Valley’s Chilhana area. A child is missing, and a search operation is underway in the challenging terrain and deep ravine where the vehicle landed.

In a separate incident, three people died and four others were injured when a jeep plunged into a ravine on Neelum valley-Babon road in AJK’s Neelum valley. The injured and deceased were taken to a nearby hospital.
