Stellantis Reports First-Half Earnings

A new Jeep Wrangler 4-Door Sahara 4x4 vehicle was showcased for sale at a Stellantis NV dealership in Miami, Florida, US, on Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Auto giant Stellantis has reinstated its financial guidance and highlighted a gradual recovery expected in the upcoming months. Stellantis, the parent company of popular brands like Jeep, Dodge, Fiat, Chrysler, and Peugeot, reported a net loss of 2.3 billion euros ($2.65 billion) in the first half of the year, a significant drop from the 5.6 billion euros net profit in the same period in 2024.

The conglomerate had previously warned about the first-half loss in a recent trading update, attributing it to the variance between consensus forecasts and the company's actual performance. Stellantis revised its full-year tariff impact to around 1.5 billion euros, with 300 million euros incurred in the first half of 2025.

Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa expressed confidence in the company's future, stating, \"My first weeks as CEO have reconfirmed my strong conviction that we will fix what's wrong in Stellantis by capitalizing on everything that's right in Stellantis – starting from the strength, energy, and ideas of our people, combined with the great new products we are now bringing to market.\" Filosa acknowledged the challenges of 2025 but emphasized a path of gradual improvement, with the new leadership team committed to making tough decisions for sustainable growth and improved outcomes.
