The rain warning for Cork and Kerry was lifted on Sunday at 10am, but another warning will be in effect for Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wicklow, and Monaghan from midnight until noon on Monday. Heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms may lead to flooding, poor visibility, and difficult travel conditions.
A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Clare and Cork from 4.30pm to 7pm, with potential impacts including spot flooding, travel difficulties, and lightning damage.
The UK Met Office has issued a thunderstorm warning for Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry until 8pm, and a rain warning for Antrim, Armagh, and Down from 6pm tonight until 6pm on Monday.
Temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees are expected with heavy rain in some areas. The week will start with showers, heaviest in parts of Leinster and east Ulster, with temperatures ranging from 15 to 20 degrees.
Midweek will see fewer showers, with sunny spells and scattered showers on Wednesday. Thursday is expected to be largely dry with highs between 17 to 20 degrees.
An Atlantic westerly regime is predicted to dominate the weather in the following days, with drier and brighter conditions in the east and south, and cloudier, rainier conditions in the west and north.
