Heavy Rains Expected in Philippines Until Sunday Due to Tropical Depression Crising
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecasts heavy rainfall in various parts of the country until Sunday, caused by the combined effects of Tropical Depression Crising and the southwest monsoon. Specific areas are expected to receive different amounts of rainfall from Thursday night to Sunday evening.

The combined effects of Tropical Depression Crising and the southwest monsoon (locally known as habagat) will bring heavy rainfall to many areas across the country until Sunday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday night.
The agency said these areas will experience the following amounts of rainfall:

Crising was last spotted 460 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora, according to another Pagasa bulletin on Thursday night.
It was packing winds of up to 55 km per hour and gusts of up to 70 kph, while moving northwestward at 15 kph.
The tropical depression was projected to intensify into a tropical storm early Friday morning before possibly making landfall in either mainland Cagayan or Babuyan Islands on that afternoon or evening.
