Perplexity AI’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aravind Srinivas has urged youngsters to reduce doomscrolling on social media and focus more on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

During an interview with technology enthusiast Matthew Berman, Srinivas emphasized, \"Spend less time doomscrolling on Instagram; spend more time using the AIs.\" He highlighted that this shift can contribute positively to society.

Perplexity, an AI-powered search and answer engine backed by Nvidia, aims to challenge Google's dominance. Srinivas also discussed the impact of AI on the job market, stating that while some may lose jobs due to AI automation, those proficient in AI tools will have a competitive edge.

He expressed concerns about the pace at which people are adapting to AI advancements, noting the rapid evolution of technology every few months.

Perplexity is exploring partnerships with smartphone manufacturers to pre-install its Comet AI browser, aiming to expand its user base and enhance browser engagement.

\"It's a challenge to persuade mobile OEMs to switch from Chrome to Comet as the default browser,\" Srinivas mentioned.
