Lori Daybell Receives 2 Life Sentences in Murder Conspiracy Trials
Lori Daybell was found guilty of conspiring to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and her niece's ex-husband. She was sentenced to two life terms in Arizona for the crimes.

Lori Daybell was sentenced to two life sentences in Arizona for conspiring to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and her niece's ex-husband. She was found guilty of two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in Maricopa County. The judge sentenced her to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 25 years for each conviction, to be served consecutively.
The so-called 'doomsday mom' is already serving multiple life sentences for murdering two of her children. Prosecutors argued that she and her current husband, Chad Daybell, believed the children were possessed zombies and murdered them in 2019. She was also found guilty of stealing Social Security survivor benefits allocated for her missing children.
Prosecutors in Maricopa County stated that she conspired with her brother to kill her estranged husband, Charles Vallow, to claim his $1 million life insurance policy and be with Chad Daybell. They argued that she used their religious beliefs to justify the murder.
In her trials, Lori Daybell represented herself and did not call any witnesses. Prosecutors claimed her motives were money and sex. She continued to maintain her innocence and questioned the need for additional life sentences on top of her existing ones.
The sentencing hearing followed failed attempts at new trials and clashes with the judge. Lori and Chad Daybell were found guilty of multiple murders in separate trials in Idaho. Lori Daybell is serving life in prison without parole, while Chad Daybell awaits execution on Idaho's death row.
Several emotional victim impact statements were made in court, highlighting the pain caused by Lori Daybell's actions.
