The Thistle City Hotel, Barbican is reportedly being used to house migrants. Residents and business owners near the hotel have reported incidents of crime and antisocial behavior, including televisions and flaming mattresses being thrown from windows. The hotel has an exclusive contract with the Government since 2021 and has seen 41 migrants charged with over 90 offenses in the past year. They highlighted the return of over 35,000 individuals in the first year of the current government, including 5,179 foreign criminals.
