ATC Delays Cases Against PTI Founder and Workers

An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad adjourned the hearing against PTI Leaders and workers related to a protest on November 26. The next hearing is scheduled for October 4. ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra presided over the case and issued arrest warrants for absent accused. Opposition Leader Omar Ayub's request for exemption from attendance was granted. The court directed to provide case documents to PTI leader Azam Khan Swati.
The prosecution submitted challans for accused whose bail status is pending. The court asked for arguments on presenting challans for those whose bail decisions are pending. Hearings for Kohsar and Noon police station cases were adjourned to August 4, while Aabpara and Tarnol police station cases were adjourned to August 11.
Additionally, the court heard two cases related to Azadi March involving workers and PTI founder. Case number 242 of Khanna police station was adjourned to September 5. The process for declaring three accused in case number 243 of Khanna police station began, with the case adjourned to August 2. Case number 1033 of Kohsar police station was adjourned with arrest warrants issued for absent accused. The court received the challan for case number 551 of Kohsar police station and issued summons notices to Ali Bukhari, Shoaib Shaheen, and other accused. The hearing was adjourned to September 6.
Representatives of PTI workers, including Sardar Muhammad Masroof Khan, Aamna Ali, and Murtaza Tori, appeared in court. PTI leaders and workers face charges under terrorism and other sections in cases registered at Noon, Kohsar, Aabpara, and other police stations.
