American Idol Music Supervisor and Husband Shot Dead in Los Angeles Home

An arrest has been made in the deadly shooting of a longtime American Idol music supervisor and her husband in their Los Angeles home. Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, both 70, were found dead in their Encino home on Monday. Police were conducting a welfare check when they discovered their bodies with gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Los Angeles police arrested 22-year-old Raymond Boodarian in connection with the couple’s deaths. Boodarian was allegedly burglarizing their home while the couple was away on July 10. The victims returned home, a confrontation occurred, and the suspect took their lives.

Security footage showed the suspect inside the home for about 30 minutes. He gained entry through an unlocked door and is accused of shooting the couple before fleeing on foot.

A statement from American Idol expressed deep sadness over the loss of Robin and her husband. Robin Kaye had been a part of the Idol family since 2009 and was highly respected in the industry. She had also worked on other productions such as The Singing Bee, Hollywood Game Night, Lip Sync Battle, and Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
