Johor police chief M Kumar stated that a man's body was found at Sultanah Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru around 1.40am on Thursday. The body, with no identification, was dropped off by two individuals in a dark car, as seen in CCTV footage.
A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen. The victim, a 42-year-old Indian male from Sungai Petani, Kedah, had previous criminal records.
Prior to the body's discovery, a suspected robbery occurred at a Shell petrol station in Gelang Patah at 12.12am. Armed men attacked another group, leading to gunfire. CCTV footage showed a silver car approaching a black Honda at the station, with four men wielding machetes smashing the Honda's windows. Gunshots followed, and the men fled.
