NASA Spots New Interstellar Object Speeding Through Solar System
Astronomers have identified a fast-moving interstellar object named 3I/ATLAS approaching the Sun at over 60 km/s. This marks the third known object from outside our solar system. Expected to leave the solar system soon, the object poses no threat to Earth or any other planet.

Astronomers have spotted a new interstellar object named 3I/ATLAS moving towards the Sun at over 60 km/s. It's the third object from outside our solar system and will soon leave it.
The object, initially known as A11pl3Z, was detected by the ATLAS system and confirmed to be interstellar. It is believed to be a comet or asteroid between 10-20 km wide, flying at 152,000 mph towards Earth.
3I/ATLAS will pass close to the Sun but poses no danger to any planet. This is the third known interstellar object after 'Oumuamua in 2017 and Comet 2I/Borisov in 2019.
