Julian McMahon, the Australian actor known for his roles in Charmed, Nip/Tuck, and Fantastic Four as Doctor Doom, has passed away at 56.

He died in Clearwater, Florida, after battling cancer, confirmed by his wife Kelly Paniagua.

McMahon started as a model before acting in Home and Away, then gained fame in Charmed and Nip/Tuck. He portrayed Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four and FBI: Most Wanted's Jess LaCroix.

Producer Dick Wolf expressed shock at McMahon's death. Director Stephan Elliott remembered him as a 'wild child' from their school days.

His recent roles included The Residence, The Surfer, and The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat.

McMahon was married three times and is survived by his wife Kelly Paniagua.
