US-PH Alliance Stronger Than Ever, Says US Ambassador

The alliance between the Philippines and the United States is stronger than ever, according to US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson. She emphasized that Washington is proud to stand with Manila towards a safe, free, and prosperous future.

During the US Independence Day celebration in Manila on July 3, 2025, Ambassador Carlson highlighted the enduring friendship and alliance between the two countries. She described the relationship as more than just friends, partners, and allies, but as a family bonded by history, partnership, and shared sacrifice since World War II.

Carlson reiterated the commitment of the US to support the Philippines' military modernization and promote a free and open Indo-Pacific. She mentioned investments in infrastructure, including a major freight rail project linking Subic, Manila, and Batangas, which will create jobs and drive innovation.

Besides economic and defense partnerships, the US and Philippines maintain meaningful people-to-people ties, with millions of Filipinos living in the US and vice versa.
