Pakistan and US Strengthen Relationship in Agriculture, Trade, and Education, Says US Consul General

US Consul General Lahore Kristin K Hawkins has emphasized the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and the United States, with collaboration expanding across various sectors such as agriculture, trade, education, and cultural preservation.

In an interview with Express News, Hawkins mentioned joint efforts by agricultural experts from both countries to address farming challenges in South Punjab. She highlighted the importance of bilateral programs in trade and agriculture to enhance mutual support.

Regarding education, Hawkins focused on providing modern educational opportunities to Pakistani youth. She noted the success of the English Access Micro-scholarship Program, benefiting thousands of students, including those from Punjab.

CG Hawkins visited Multan to support the restoration of historical sites and congratulated students who completed a skills training program. She mentioned cultural preservation projects in Pakistan and the establishment of Lincoln Corners offering modern technology and educational resources.

These initiatives aim to promote learning, dialogue, and connection, especially in underserved regions like South Punjab.
