Two women fatally stabbed by man at bar in central Japan
Two women, the bar manager and an employee, were fatally stabbed by a 41-year-old man at a bar in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka prefecture. The suspect, Ichiro Yamashita, was arrested at the scene and is being investigated by the police.

Two women in central Japan died after being stabbed by a man at a bar in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka prefecture. The victims were identified as bar manager Tomoka Takeuchi, 27, and employee Rin Ito, 26. The suspect, Ichiro Yamashita, 41, was arrested at the scene. Yamashita, who is unemployed, is being investigated for his motive and relationship with the victims. The incident occurred early on July 6, following an emergency call reporting the stabbing. Both victims were in critical condition when taken to the hospital. Yamashita, a regular customer at the bar, used two knives with 20cm blades to carry out the attack. He admitted to stabbing Takeuchi and Ito, without attempting to flee. The crime scene, located near JR Hamamatsu Station, had other customers and employees present during the incident.
