First Look at HBO's Harry Potter TV Series Revealed

HBO has shared a sneak peek of the upcoming Harry Potter TV adaptation as filming kicks off. The first look reveals Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, alongside Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger. The young actors were chosen after a thorough search among British children aged 9-11. McLaughlin dons Potter's iconic glasses and Gryffindor attire.

Executive producers Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod praised the talents of the actors and expressed excitement for fans to see them on screen. New cast members include Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

Filming has commenced at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden in the UK. The series promises to be a faithful adaptation of Rowling's books, with one season per book, capturing the essence that fans have cherished for over 25 years. The show is set to premiere on HBO in 2027.
