Sony Introduces Limited Edition Ghost of Yōtei PS5 Bundles Inspired by Japanese Art

Sony is celebrating the release of the upcoming Ghost of Yōtei game with two limited edition PlayStation 5 bundles. These special console packages are set to launch on October 2, featuring designs inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics.

One variant pays homage to kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, silver, or platinum lacquer, showcasing a stunning gold rendition of Mt. Yōtei's artwork on the console. The second version embraces the simplicity of Sumi-e, a traditional Japanese ink brush painting.

Sony will introduce two editions of the gaming console - the Gold Limited Edition inspired by the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, featuring raised golden lines depicting Mount Yōtei, a symbol of protagonist Atsu’s journey. Additionally, a Black Limited Edition will be available exclusively via PlayStation Direct, drawing design inspiration from sumi-e, a black ink painting style.

Both bundles will include a PS5 Slim console with disc drive, a matching DualSense controller with Atsu’s silhouette on the touchpad, and a digital copy of Ghost of Yōtei Standard Edition. Customers who pre-order the limited edition will also receive an in-game mask and seven PSN avatars of Atsu and the Yōtei Six.

For existing PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro owners, Sony will offer Ghost of Yōtei-themed console covers and standalone DualSense controllers in both gold and black editions, featuring intricate designs and the engraved PlayStation maker’s seal found on the full bundles.
