A man was injured in a stabbing outside Moonee Ponds Central, a shopping centre in Melbourne. Emergency services responded to an altercation on Homer St at Moonee Ponds around 4.35pm on Monday. Police reported that during an argument between two men, one of them used a knife to stab the other. The victim sustained minor injuries to his neck and chest and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital for treatment. Passersby restrained the alleged offender until police arrived, and he is currently assisting with the investigation. Videos show the man shouting 'Allahu Akbar' during the incident, which witness Liam Clifford described as unsettling for the area. Victoria Police are yet to provide a statement.
