A man was rescued from the Krishna River in Karnataka’s Raichur district after allegedly being pushed in by his wife during a photo-taking session. The incident occurred near the Gurjapur Bridge-cum-Barrage. The man, a resident of Shakti Nagar in Raichur, claimed that his wife pushed him into the river while they were taking photos on rocky outcrops.
Witnesses heard the man's cries for help from a rock in the river, where he shouted for someone to save him. The woman, on the other hand, stated that he slipped into the river while they were taking photos.
The man was rescued by passersby, including Bolero drivers and dam workers, who used a rope to pull him out of the river. Despite the dramatic rescue, the couple left the scene together on a motorcycle. The wife denied the accusations, insisting it was an accident.
No formal complaint has been filed regarding the incident at this time.
