Gregg Wallace Fired as MasterChef Host

Gregg Wallace has been removed as MasterChef presenter after an inquiry into his alleged misconduct by production company Banijay, as reported by BBC News.

The 60-year-old had stepped away from hosting the BBC cooking competition last year due to historical complaints that emerged.

There are new claims against the TV presenter from 50 individuals, including allegations of inappropriate behavior such as groping and indecent exposure, according to BBC News.

Wallace has denied engaging in sexually harassing behavior, and Banijay stated he is cooperating with the review.

While the final Banijay report is not public, BBC News understands that Wallace has been dismissed.

Wallace recently stated he has been cleared of the serious accusations against him, expressing a desire for the full story to be told.

Despite the allegations, the latest series of MasterChef: The Professionals aired last year, but two Christmas specials were removed from the schedule in December 2024.

UK Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy mentioned the need for new industry standards in light of the allegations.

The investigation into Wallace's conduct is ongoing, with no official comments until the findings are released.
