Ben Healy Leads Tour de France with Yellow Jersey

Ben Healy is the fourth Irish cyclist to wear the Yellow Jersey in the Tour de France after leading for 10 stages this year. He put in a strong performance during a challenging stage, finishing third and maintaining a lead over Tadej Pogacar. He now leads by 29 seconds in the general classification.

Stephen Roche, Sean Kelly, and Shay Elliott are the other Irish riders who have led the Tour de France in the past. Healy's breakaway on a favorable stage profile helped him secure the lead, with key rivals failing to challenge until late in the stage. He finished third behind Simon Yates and Thymen Arensman, gaining four bonus seconds.

After a tough battle, Healy expressed his gratitude to his teammates and reflected on the opportunity to wear the Yellow Jersey. Pogacar lost time to Healy, swapping the jersey with the Irish cyclist.
