Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey will miss the rest of the third Test against the West Indies at Sabina Park due to concussion. Josh Inglis will take over as the wicketkeeper in the second innings.

Carey was hit on the helmet by a bouncer from West Indies bowler Alzarri Joseph on Sunday. Despite continuing to bat, he was dismissed for a duck shortly after. Cricket Australia confirmed Carey's concussion ahead of day three, with Inglis replacing him for the remainder of the match.

Although Carey has not been officially substituted out of the starting XI, Inglis will not earn his fourth Test cap in Jamaica.

Former Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin mentioned that Carey did not pass his concussion test and will not play any further part in the Test match. Inglis is expected to perform well as the replacement wicketkeeper.
