Punjab Health Minister Distributes 9,485 ACs to Hospitals for Patient Comfort

Punjab Health Minister and Chairman Cabinet Committee on Law and Order, Khawaja Salman Rafique, has stated that comprehensive security measures have been implemented throughout the province for Muharram-ul-Haram, following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
During a visit to the Interior Department’s control room, the Minister reviewed the security plan for Muharram, receiving a detailed briefing on security arrangements, including those for the Urs of Hazrat Baba Fariduddin Ganjshakar in Pakpattan.
Rafique highlighted the government's commitment to daily monitoring of Muharram-related security operations, ensuring coordination with relevant departments for peace and safety during the sacred month. Sensitive processions and gatherings are under close CCTV surveillance, with real-time supervision of security deployment and response plans at the control room.
Accompanied by officials, including Provincial Home Secretary Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, the Minister emphasized the importance of upholding law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram, ensuring peaceful events.
In a separate announcement, Khawaja Salman Rafique shared that 9,485 air-conditioners have been provided to tertiary care hospitals in Punjab by the Specialized Health Care and Medical Education Department. The initiative aims to enhance patient comfort and improve working conditions in government hospitals, addressing the previous lack of modern cooling systems.
Rafique highlighted the Punjab Government's commitment to upgrading public healthcare services, with more air conditioners set to be dispatched to hospitals soon. Patient comfort remains a priority, with efforts to modernize healthcare infrastructure in line with global standards.
