iOS 26 Safety Feature: FaceTime Can Blur Video if Nudity Detected

The developer beta for iOS 26 has been out for a few weeks. Among the latest discoveries is a safety feature for FaceTime that blurs your feed when it detects nudity. If nudity is detected, a message will appear pausing audio and video. The feature is off by default and can be enabled in FaceTime settings under 'Sensitive Content Warning.' It is intended for child accounts but can be enabled by adults in the beta.

According to the Apple support page, 'Communication Safety' uses on-device machine learning to analyze photos and videos for nudity. Apple does not access the content analyzed on the device.
