MSI Achieves Significant Growth in Motherboard Shipments, Matching Gigabyte with Over 10 Million Units and GPU Shipments Reaching 5 Million Units; AI Server Expansion Planned

MSI has seen significant growth in its business, driving up motherboard shipments to a level similar to leading AIBs in the market. According to a report from DigiTimes, MSI's motherboard shipments have exceeded 10 million units for the first time, closing the gap with Gigabyte. The company's offerings, driven by AMD's X870 and Intel's Z890 platforms, have stood out with their thermal designs and aesthetics. MSI has also expanded into the budget-friendly segment with products like the MAG B850M Mortar Wi-Fi motherboard.

In addition to motherboard shipments, MSI's notebook shipments are expected to reach 2.55 million units in 2025. Despite a slight slowdown due to US tariffs, the company set a new record in recent quarter earnings. MSI plans to expand its enterprise solutions, such as the NVIDIA MGX AI servers and the custom solution of NVIDIA's DGX Spark supercomputer, to capitalize on the AI trend.

To sustain consumer demand, MSI is expanding production and opening new facilities in the US. The company's GPU division has also performed well, reaching 5 million units and tying market share with ASUS.
